Feliciano Centurión participates in the 13th Shanghai Biennial, "Bodies of Water". Curated by Andrés Jaque, the Bienal will have as its theme the defense of planetary reassociation processes, focusing on the collectivity between species and the connections between bodies and the environment.
For the first time, the event will unfold as an eight-month evolutionary project, until June 2021, conceived collaboratively by a collective of artists, activists and institutions, thus challenging the usual format of an art biennial.
Centurión's practice uses embroidery, as well as apparently trivial materials, which point to an inflection in the field of artistic making, towards a representation of intimacy. The above works, by the artist, are part of the selection of the exhibition.
