We are delighted to share that Claudia Alarcón & Silät have been named Emerging Artist of the year in the 2025 ARTnews Awards, which honour excellence in art achievements at US institutions. The collective were awarded the prize for their first US solo exhibition at James Cohan Gallery earlier this year.
"This introduction of this kind of work in the context of a contemporary art landscape marks an important turning point - both in the expansion of what we understand to be contemporary, but also the elimination of these categories that separate high and low art forms.
