We are looking forward to Dallas Art Fair (4-7 April), where we will present a group exhibition reflecting the gallery's mission to champion historically overlooked artists and those working in the margins today.
The booth will focus on the diverse forms of abstraction developed across the Americas from the 1950s, including a selection of works on paper by Ukrainian-American artist Janet Sobel, concurrently celebrated in a major retrospective exhibition at the Menil Collection in Houston. We are proud to spotlight the unsung pioneer of Abstract Expressionism at this pivotal moment of re-evaluation, following her solo exhibition at Cecilia Brunson Projects in 2023.
We will also be showing new works by Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe and Claudia Alarcón & Silät, whose contemporary practices reflect dialogues between modern and pre-Hispanic visual languages in Latin America.
