Cristián Silva (Santiago de Chile, 1969) has had solo exhibitions in international galleries and museums that include Curro & Poncho. Guadalajara, Mexico, Galería Maisterravalbuena, Madrid, Spain, Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, USA, The Project, New York, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Mexico City, El Parche, Bogota, Colombia, and Bildmuseet, Umeå, Sweden. He has also been part of group exhibitions in CCS, Bard College Museum, Annandale-on Hudson, USA, Travesía Cuatro, Madrid, Spain, Instituto Divorciados, Berlin, Museo Cabañas. Guadalajara, México, Musée d’art Contemporain, Montreal, Canada, Sala Mendoza, Caracas, Venezuela, MOCA Los Angeles, Musee d’Art Moderne de la ville de Paris, France, and Delfina Studios, London, among others. Silva was also part of the VII Bienal de La Habana, Havana, Cuba and of the II Bienal del Mercosur, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Cristián Silva is currently a Professor in Universidad de Chile, Universidad Alberto Hurtado and Universidad Finis Terrae, in Santiago. Since 2000 he has curated of several exhibitions in Chile, the Untited States, Mexico and Spain. His works are part of public collections among which the Blanton Museum of Art, USA, Bildmuseet de Umeå, Sweden, Colección Galería Gabriela Mistral, colección GAM, as well as private collections that include José Noé Suro (Guadalajara), Craig Robbins (Miami), Carlos Rosón (Spain), 21c Museum Hotel (USA), Artist Pension Trust, Juan Yarur (Chile) and Pedro Montes (Chile).
